We welcome you on Tinos, the third largest island in the Cyclades. An island of unique beauty with outstanding experiences and memories in store for its visitors. Of course, the island is first and foremost renowned for Panagia Evangelistria or, as it is known to most people, Panagia of Tinos.

Filoxenia lies a mere 100 m. from the Holy Church of Megalochari, 700 m. from the Cultural Foundation of Tinos, 300 m. from the old port and 800 m. from the new port (boat arrivals and departures).
Beaches
Greek islands are famous for their amazing beaches and, naturally, Tinos is no exception! The island hosts beaches across all tastes, organised with beach bars for endless fun, beaches suitable for families with small children as well as some more secluded for those willing to relax while reading their favourite book. We recommend Agios Fokas, at just 30 m. from Filoxenia, Livada, Pachia Ammos and Santa Margarita.
Villages
Tinos has more than 45 villages, possibly more than any other Cycladic island! All villages have kept their picturesque style and traditional architecture, a ‘treasure’ worth discovering! Flatados, with its exquisite wines and raki, Volakas that resembles the set of a period movie and Pyrgos, Tinos’ largest village, that looks like an outdoors art exhibition. Yet so many other adorable small villages, each of its own grace, ready to dazzle you!
Churches & Temples
Did you know that Tinos features more than a thousand churches? It’s true! The island of Revelation holds a huge amount of religious tradition with churches and temples of assorted styles, from Orthodox and Catholic to even private ones. Located in central points, atop hills or next to the sea. And, of course, this all ties in with numerous customs and celebrations held all year long, culminating in the week of August 15th, when worshippers flock the island in pilgrimage.
